About Us
While Ad Club Seattle may seem like a gift from the gods, it
takes actual living and occasionally breathing human beings to make it happen.
Welcome to Ad Club Seattle.
We’re the same group you have known as the Seattle Advertising Federation; then
again, we’re not quite the same.
As we celebrate our 95th Anniversary (that’s right, started in 1909), we
realize how the vision, mission and strategic planning of the club changes with
a changing business climate.
This site is the result of nearly two years of work. It is a representation of
the evolution that has taken place within our club and within the Seattle ad
industry. There are dozens of people to thank for their dedication, because our
evolution goes well beyond this site.
We realize that one of our missions is that of inclusion. The club should not
be exclusive, but it does need to be relevant. We realized that we never did
“federate” anything, so we lightened things up a little, embraced a little
irreverence, and are extremely proud of our new image. We hope it reflects our
services, reflects your needs, and helps us serve as a conduit to assist in the
overall evolution of Seattle’s advertising industry.
Our new name and new image reflect the sense of community that is growing in
Seattle’s ad industry. Our mission is to be a relevant resource for seasoned
advertising professionals and freshmen alike. We are dedicated to raising the
standards of our profession, increasing the expectations of our clients, and
being a true contender on the international stage.
In the last two years, Ad Club Seattle has taken honors at our regional
district competitions with other advertising clubs in the Northwest (WA, OR,
ID, MT, & AK):

We have a lot to be proud of, and this is just the beginning.
We have a very involved 25-person board who works tirelessly to assure success
and stability for the organization. The Ad Club Seattle officers are also
committed to improving the stature of our advertising industry. We have laid
the foundation for strategic alliances and have become actively involved in an
industry advocacy program designed to improve awareness about how Seattle’s ad
industry is vibrant, vital, and world class.
Ad Club Seattle offers a variety of volunteer opportunities with a number of
committees to choose from. Whether you enjoy recruiting members, planning
programs, working on special events, or getting the word out, Ad Club Seattle is
sure to have a committee that fits your needs and interests. When you decide to
get involved, just send a note to adclubdirector@verizon.net and we’ll work to find you the best opportunity.
As you can see, we’re growing and working hard to reflect the needs and
interests of our members and ad community. As a result, our members enjoy better
educational opportunities, more dynamic speakers, professional development
opportunities, improved networking opportunities and great social events.
As with anything, you get out of the ACS what you put into it. We encourage all
members to review our list of committees and make this the year to get
involved. As you can see, we have laid the foundation, and we have more serious
and exciting work to do.
